Nepal flash flood HORROR on cam: Bridge WASHED AWAY in seconds

Updated On: 26 August, 2026 08:29 PM IST

A massive flash flood has devastated Nepal's Rasuwa district, with the Bhote Koshi River suddenly swelling near the Tibet border. The worst-hit areas include Timure and Syabrubesi, where vehicles, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure have reportedly been swept away or damaged. Rescue operations are underway, with Nepal Army helicopters deployed to the affected region. The most striking question is the cause of the sudden flood. Officials say a huge volume of water entered the Bhote Koshi from the Tibetan side, and the cause remains under investigation. Experts have raised the possibility of a glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) rather than ordinary local rainfall.
