In one of the deadliest aerial attacks since the Russia-Ukraine war began, President Zelensky urgently appealed to the U.S. and allies for advanced air defence support after 500 drones and 60 missiles targeted Ukrainian cities. A child was injured, and a Ukrainian F-16 pilot died. Zelensky also warned Europe of Putin’s expansionist ambitions, while calling out Iran for aiding Russia. US President Donald Trump is now considering additional Patriot systems after a direct meeting with Zelensky.
