Updated On: 02 September, 2026 03:30 PM IST
Tropical Storm Edouard has made landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border, bringing 60 mph winds, torrential rain and a dangerous flash flood threat across the Gulf Coast. The storm came ashore near Johnson Bayou on the Louisiana coast before moving inland. Heavy rainfall has flooded roads across parts of Texas, while thousands of homes and businesses have lost power in Southeast Texas. Forecasters warn that some areas could receive up to 9 inches of rain, raising the risk of sudden flooding in low-lying and urban areas.
