Activist Sonam Wangchuk's indefinite hunger strike at Delhi's Jantar Mantar enters its 19th day amid protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. During the protest, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal meets Wangchuk and praises his stand for students. Kejriwal calls for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down and proposes that Sonam Wangchuk become India's next Education Minister. The protest also announces a 'Chalo Sansad' march on July 20, coinciding with the start of Parliament's Monsoon Session.

Sanjay Singh was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on April 3. The ED on April 2, informed the SC that the agency has no objection to Sanjay Singh getting bail. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. AAP workers played drums and celebrated the release of Sanjay Singh. While addressing a press conference after his release from jail he attacked BJP and said when BJP speaks about corruption it seems like Osama Bin Laden is speaking about non-violence.
