A Gujarat-linked cargo ship carrying livestock sank off the coast of Oman after a suspected drone or missile strike triggered a massive onboard fire near the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel, identified as Haji Ali, was reportedly hit by an unidentified explosive object while sailing from Somalia to Sharjah. Flames quickly spread across the ship before it lost stability and sank into the sea. All 14 Indian crew members managed to escape into lifeboats after sending distress signals and were later rescued by the Oman Coast Guard.

A tragic bus accident occurred near Gholtir in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on June 26, when an 18-seater bus plunged into the Alaknanda River.
