In Puri, the 'Dwara Fita' Niti at Jagannath Temple marked a sacred start to the year, drawing huge crowds. In Madhya Pradesh, thousands gathered at Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain to witness the powerful Bhasma Aarti. The festive spirit was also alive in Haridwar, where visitors from all over India took a holy dip in the Ganga at 'Har Ki Pauri', followed by the Ganga Aarti and temple prayers. In Prayagraj, the 'Lete Hue Hanuman Ji' Temple saw a steady flow of devotees. Ganga Aarti was also performed at the Assi Ghat of Varanasi on the first day of the year 2025. Devotees also offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple. In Delhi morning Aarti was performed at Chhatarpur temple on the first day while in Jaipur, the Moti Nagar Dungri Ganesh Temple was bustling with prayers. In Tamil Nadu, the Rockfort Manikka Vinayagar Temple in Trichy welcomed worshippers to ring in the new year with blessings.
