Iran has denied reports that it requested direct talks with the United States in Pakistan, calling statements from the White House inaccurate. The response comes after claims that US envoys were being sent to Islamabad for potential negotiations. Iranian officials have said they rejected US proposals due to what they describe as excessive demands, while also clarifying that their foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan is strictly bilateral and not linked to any US talks. At the same time, US officials maintain that discussions could still take place, creating a contradiction between both sides.
