The BMC has reportedly announced a special drive against unauthorised constructions in slum areas from October 1 to December 31, an official statement, issued by Mumbai Congress chief Varsha Gaikwad's office, said

As part of the drive, action will be taken against slum structures measuring 14 feet or more in height. The BMC has appealed to residents living in unauthorised constructions in slum areas to remove them voluntarily and immediately, failing which strict action will be taken
