BMC announces three-month drive against unauthorised slum structures in Mumbai from October 1

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will conduct a special drive against unauthorised constructions in slum areas from October 1 to December 31, 2026, the civic body said on Saturday.

As part of the drive, action will be taken against slum structures measuring 14 feet or more in height. The BMC has appealed to residents living in unauthorised constructions in slum areas to remove them voluntarily and immediately, failing which strict action will be taken.
