Heavy machinery was brought in to clear the rubble, including 300-tonne cranes and specialised cutters, as rescuers worked to ensure that no worker remained trapped beneath the collapsed structure. Several workers were taken to hospital following the incident. Authorities said 13 workers were hospitalised, while three were later discharged. Two workers reportedly suffered serious injuries, while others sustained comparatively minor injuries. WATCH

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a grand roadshow in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, the second day of his visit to Gujarat. Large crowds gathered along the route, waving the national flag and chanting slogans in support of the Prime Minister. The roadshow began at Raj Bhavan and ended at Mahatma Mandir. Folk artists performed the traditional Gujarati dance, Garba, as part of the cultural welcome. The streets were lined with posters praising PM Modi’s leadership and highlighting Operation Sindoor — India’s military response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam. This marks PM Modi’s first visit to his home state since Operation Sindoor. During the event, he criticized Pakistan, saying his government was determined to eliminate terrorism from the country.
