The IMD said the southwest monsoon has further advanced into parts of the south Arabian Sea, Maldives-Comorin region, south Bay of Bengal and sections of the northeast Bay of Bengal. Conditions remain favourable for its further advance into additional parts of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and northeastern states over the next two to three days

President Droupadi Murmu's proposed visit to the Atal Tunnel on April 29 has been cancelled due to inclement weather, according to an official communication from the President's Secretariat and confirmed by the Kullu district administration
