Born on May 8, 1986, in Ernakulam, Kerala, Sreejesh comes from a farming family and initially trained in sprinting, volleyball, and long jump before switching to hockey on his coach’s advice. He made his junior international debut in 2004 against Australia and his senior debut at the 2006 South Asian Games.
