The CBI has secured the return of Harnek Singh, wanted in a 2013 Singapore scam case, after he was deported from the US and arrested at Delhi airport. Singh had allegedly helped receive fraud proceeds through his money-transfer outlet and remained absconding for over a decade

The passengers were scheduled to travel to Guwahati on an IndiGo flight and then continue their journey to Agartala. The cash was subsequently handed over to Income Tax officials for further action
