The man, a resident of Hyderabad, had suffered a devastating cervical spinal cord injury following a major accident that left him paralysed below the neck, and also took away his ability to breathe independently

The accident took place on the Khandwa-Baroda National Highway near Magariya village, under the jurisdiction of Jaitapur Police Station, around 11 kilometres from the district headquarters
