S Jaishankar reveals how PM Modi convinced him to join politics

India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on 5th of March revealed how he left his “well-paying corporate job” to join Politics. He recalls that Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked him to join the government.  “Personally it was a surprise, I never even thought about it, but, one of the reasons I never thought about it was that nobody in my family even remotely thought about it,” said EAM Jaishankar while interacting with Indian community in Seoul. He added that nobody in the family  remotely even thpought of Politics and they are still wondering what he is doing. Watch video to know more what he said.

Seoul Stampede 'India stands in solidarity ' S Jaishankar

In a major tragic incident, a stampede broke out during Halloween celebrations in South Korean Capital Seoul. At least 149 people were killed and several others got injured in the crash when a huge crowd surged into an alley. Many of the victims included teenagers and young adults in their 20s. Two foreigners were among the dead. It was the first Halloween event in Seoul after three years after the country lifted COVID restrictions. The USA termed the incident ‘heartbreaking’ and said that it is ready to provide any support to South Korea in such crucial times. US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Saturday that reports of the Seoul stampede are heartbreaking and that Washington is ready to provide the Republic of Korea with any support it needs in such crucial times. The White House national security advisor made the remarks on Twitter as he hoped for quick recovery of those injured in the incident.
