Mumbai student Shresth Suraiya won a gold medal at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2026 in Bucaramanga, Colombia, as India secured a joint first rank among 87 participating countries. The Indian team finished alongside Russia, South Korea, China, Kazakhstan and Taiwan with an outstanding overall performance.
