Finally, the first step towards unraveling the mystery behind 405 tickets of the 2011 World Cup final at Wankhede Stadium (India versus Sri Lanka) going unsold has been taken by the inquiry committee set up by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)
The four-member committee which was formed a couple of months ago to look into the fiasco formally met for the first time yesterday. It is learnt, the delay in sitting together to unravel the mystery was because the association had not submitted certain documents which were needed by the inquiry committee headed by advocate Avinash Rana.u00a0
The special panel yesterday decided to invite MCA members who would like to share any World Cup tickets-related information. They are also expecting the MCA to finally submit documents related to sale of tickets by March 15, the day of the critical meeting with the members.
