Kevin O'Brien might have played the life of his innings, but his girlfriend Ruthanne is not entirely happy.

Ruthanne had been asking O'Brien to shave off his hair which he had painted pink to support the cause of Irish Cancer Society. But after hitting the fastest century in the history of the World Cup, the 26-year-old batsman has said that he must keep his hairstyle, lest luck should desert him.






"When Kevin was batting I was so nervous.u00a0 I was biting off. No doubt he played a brilliant innings," she told
MiD DAY.

O'Brien's father Brenden was also a happy man. "I don't have any words to express my feelings. I am the happiest father right now," he said.

Mother Camilla was over the moon too. "My son showed the whole world what a brilliant player he is," she exclaimed.
