Barely six months after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) formed the Cricket Advisory Committee that comprised the famed India bating trio of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, the panel is likely to be scrapped today at the BCCI Annual General Meeting in Mumbai.

The reason behind this probable scrapping is the conflict of interest issue, it is learnt. While Laxman and Tendulkar are associated with Indian Premier League teams (Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians respectively), Ganguly was recently elected Cricket Association of Bengal president after Jagmohan Dalmiya's death.
