However, now associations working for other disabilities &mdash; physically challenged and deaf &amp; dumb &mdash; want the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to support them too.
Ravi Chauhan, secretary of the Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India, told mid-day yesterday: "It is a very good step by the BCCI to support the blind team. I would like to urge the BCCI to extend their support to the physically challenged and deaf &amp; dumb cricket teams as well.
We also struggle to conduct tournaments. If the English &amp; Wales Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board can give recognition to their disabled teams, then BCCI should recognise us too." Shukla's proposal will soon be recommended to BCCI's Working Committee.
