Team India pacer Akash Deep said that head coach Gautam Gambhir had told him during the England tour that he is not aware of his capabilities.
"Tumko khud pata nahi tum kya kar sakte ho (You aren't aware of your capabilities). 'See, I was telling you, you can do it. You have to play with this dedication always'," said Akash in an interview with PTI.

He then said that Gambhir believes in himself more than the pacer does.
"Gautam bhai is a very passionate coach. He always motivates us. He believes in me more than I believe in myself, both in my batting and bowling," he said.
The pacer also heaped praise on India's newly appointed Test captain, Shubman Gill and said that his leadership experience in the IPL also counts.
"He is a very good captain. It's not like he is a new captain. He has already been an IPL captain for a couple of years, which is a big platform. That experience does count," said the 28-year-old.
Further, the Dehri-born cricketer pressed more on Gill's captaincy by saying he is very supportive and has played under him in a domestic tournament.
"With Shubman as captain, I didn't feel like I was playing for the first time. He's very supportive. When a captain supports you and understands things well, especially when you are down, it makes a big difference," said Akash Deep.
"I have played Duleep Trophy under his captaincy last year so it wasn't the first time. He is a cool customer with a lot of ideas and when someone is calm, it helps in taking good on-field decisions," he added.
Under the captaincy of Gill, a young Team India secured a draw over England by 2-2. Team India will now gear up to participate in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The tournament is scheduled to kick star from September 9. The 'Men in Blue' will play their opening match against the UAE on September 10.
