In the Asia Cup 2025, the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, are set to meet again in the 'Super Four' stage of the ongoing continental tournament.

Earlier, in the tournament, the "Men in Blue" secured a dominating win over Pakistan by seven wickets in the group stage match.

Ahead of the mega rivalry, there were several groups of fans and former players opposing the clash. Following the match, former Team India cricketer Kiran More, had also expressed his opinion by saying that the Indian government had taken the right decision by allowing the "Men in Blue" to feature in the match against Pakistan.

"...Several people have criticised India vs Pakistan matches. Had this been a bilateral series between India and Pakistan, then there would have been an issue. But this is Asia Cup... You have to play these matches. So, the decision taken by the Govt. is correct," said More.

The upcoming clash will be worth watching, considering the 'no-handshake' row and pull-out calls from the tournament.

Following the 'no handshake' decision of Team India, the Pakistan Cricket Board had also accused match referee Andy Pycroft of violating the ICC rules. The board also wrote emails to the International Cricket Council (ICC), demanding the removal of Pycroft from the tournament.

However, their demands were rejected by the ICC. According to the reports, Pycroft is set to officiate today's encounter between India and Pakistan.

After concluding with Pakistan's clash, the Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India will lock horns with Bangladesh on September 24, followed by the match against Sri Lanka on September 26.

On the other hand, the "Green Shirts" will take on Sri Lanka on September 23, followed by the match against Bangladesh on September 25.
