Australia has appointed former batsman Michael Hussey as a coaching consultant for the Ashes and ODI World Cup 2027. He has also been assigned the role of advisor for the Los Angeles Olympics 2028 and the T20 World Cup, which is set to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

According to Cricinfo, Hussey has taken short-term assignments with the Australian team under the head coach Andrew McDonald in recent years. Following the development, the Australian cricket board shared a post on its official social media handle.
