Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to field, in overcast conditions, in the first Test against England at Lord's here on Thursday.

England gave a Test debut to Ireland-born batsman Eoin Morgan, already a one-day and Twenty20 international, on the left-hander's Middlesex home ground and omitted Yorkshire paceman Ajmal Shahzad, who was in a 12-man squad.
