India's wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan srrived in Jamnagar on Friday afternoon to attend the three-day pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Kishan, who was exluded from the BCCI contracts along with Shreyas Iyer after ignoring the board's diktat to play in the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand, appeared in a jovial mood. In a video that has gone viral on social media since being shared, the attacking left-hander was all smiles while being photographed before heading to the event's venue. Watch the video below:

The 25-year-old Kishan did not turn up for Jharkhand throughout the team's campaign in Ranji Trophy despite not being on national duty after leaving the tour of South Africa in December citing personal reasons. He instead focussed on preparing for the IPL next month for his franchise Mumbai Indians.

The last time Ishan played for India was in the T20I format against Australia in Guwahati, following that he failed to make his place in the first eleven.

The BCCI, while announcing the central contracts on Wednesday, urged the players to give due importance to domestic competitions. The decision to exclude the duo from contracts evoked mixed reactions with some former players like Kirti Azad and Irfan Pathan backing the out-of-favour duo.

Both Kishan and Iyer were part of the Indian side until very recently, having also featured in the 50-overs World Cup last year. While Kishan was last part of the Test squad during India's Tour of South Africa in December, Iyer played the first two Tests of the ongoing series against England.

Meanwhile, BCCI's elite bracket, Grade A+, remained the same for this year with captain Rohit Sharma, veteran batter Virat Kohli, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as the top earners.

Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, speedster Mohammed Shami, and Pandya retained their Grade A contracts, while KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, and Shubman Gill moved up from Grade B last year.

The top-ranked T20I hitter, Suryakumar Yadav is in Grade B along with rising phenom Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has received his maiden BCCI central contract.
