After forging a commercial partnership with Australia and England in order to get a larger pie of the International Cricket Council revenue, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now made a strategic tie-up with Cricket Australia (CA) and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to conduct exchange programmes for coaches.
Under the programme, coaches from Australia and England will visit India to enhance their skills and vice-versa. “It is something similar to the umpire’s exchange programme wherein foreign umpires officiate in our domestic matches. Now, we have tied up with the Australian and England boards for coaches programme,” a top BCCI official told mid-day.
