The conflict of interest issue has long prevailed in Indian cricket for a long time. Former Indian cricketers such as Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid earlier faced such problems during their career.
Now, Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team are suffering the same fate. As per reports by <a href="http://www.indiatimes.com/sports/big-blow-for-virat-kohli-and-company-as-bcci-wants-them-to-quit-their-jobs-in-public-sector-companies-326673.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Hindustan Times</a>, Virat Kohli has been asked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to resign from his post at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC). Virat Kohli hold the post of that of manager at ONGC. Other Indian cricketers, too, hold posts at some public sector firms.
Indian cricketers such as Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma are some of the names that are part of this list.
<a href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/virat-kohli-all" target="_blank">Virat Kohli</a> has earlier played in local tournaments for ONGC. In the past, former cricket stars Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir have held posts at ONGC and have played for the company as well.
The Committee of Administrators (CoA) issues a directive and have also ready to offere brand new contracts to Indian cricketers.
Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team are currently on tour in Sri Lanka for a Test, ODI and T20I series.
