According to sources, Manohar has assured the ICC that renovation work will be completed by February 7 ufffd twenty days before the match. "After enduring a tension-filled day, we now have a ray of hope. We have received a copy of the Board president's letter to ICC. Hopefully, we can host the match," a CAB official told MiD DAY. Although he did not confirm receipt of Manohar's letter, CAB chief Jagmohan Dalmiya appeared less worried than he was earlier in the day. "The Board president's letter to the ICC has given us some oxygen," said another CAB official. It is learnt that Dalmiya spoke to Manohar as well as BCCI secretary N Srinivasan several times during the day to convince the ICC to reverse their decision.
