Catering issue leads to food shortage, leaves cricketers hungry

The Elite Group ‘B’ opening matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy played at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala on Wednesday were marred by catering issues.

It is learnt that a miscommunication between the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) and the caterers led to a food shortage for the players. Several players and team officials confirmed to mid-day that the food served at the three match venues was too less for the six teams and officials.
