After sealing a berth in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy, England skipper Eoin Morgan said they would not take their last match against Australia lightly and would rather look to knock the Aussies out at the league stage itself.
After two washouts Australia are in a must-win situation and all the pressure will be on them.
In the previous Champions Trophy too, they could not make it to the knockouts after their matches were affected by rain. The Aussies are desperate for a win to set the record straight.
But Morgan is in no mood to give any concessions to their traditional rivals. "We will go into the game with a very serious attitude. We never take any position that we've ever been in, for granted.
I think if we're truly going to be contenders for this tournament, we need to beat the best teams. And Australia are one of the best teams. They always are favourites going into a white ball tournament. They seem to produce limited overs cricketers at will.
So to go in to a game like that with no other attitude than winning is very important to us," Morgan said after his team defeated New Zealand by 87 runs on Tuesday to become the first team to enter the last-four.
Morgan said that despite the victory margin (87 runs) it was, by no means, an easy win. "I thought we were probably 10 or 15 short, 320 is probably a par score regardless of the game we're playing in these days.
"I thought we looked like we were getting about 340 at one stage, but fell away towards the end, which is disappointing.
"Then, the way Kane (Williamson) and Ross (Taylor) were going about, it required a great delivery from Mark Wood to get rid of a well-set Kane. His dismissal turned the tide our way," Morgan said.
