London: Cheteshwar Pujara was delighted after making his first significant contribution in the &lsquo;English Summer&rsquo; on Wednesday.
The India batsman scored an unbeaten 90 to help Derbyshire complete an eight-wicket win over Surrey at the Oval in a Division Two of County Championships.

After a disappointing county debut against Glamorgan at Cardiff, where he managed only 7 and 0, the Saurashtra batsman was in his element in more batting friendly conditions at the Oval.
Thought process &ldquo;I thought about it yesterday when we had to chase 251 and thought this was the perfect time to come forward,&rdquo; Pujara told Derbyshire&rsquo;s official website.
&ldquo;I was batting really well in the nets, to be honest, it was just that I was not getting a start. When I went in, I was timing the ball well and there wasn&rsquo;t much swing, so I thought if I play my natural game and if the ball is there, I will just go for it.
&ldquo;Hopefully, now I have picked up the form and will be able to do it in the next match. It was a great team performance and I hope we can now finish the season well next week at Derby.&rdquo;
