Chief Vilasrao wants report on unsold World Cup tickets

MCA treasurer Ravi Savant told SUNDAY MiD DAY: “The president wants a report of it (unsold tickets of World Cup final) and it will be submitted to our members.”

The report will be submitted at the Annual General Meeting in mid-June, an MCA official said. Accounts of April 2010 to March 2011 will also be submitted during the AGM.

MiD DAY was the first to reveal (on March 19) about 405 tickets of the World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka going unsold. It was shocking to learn that 96 tickets of Rs 1500 each also didn’t find any takers. Thus, the MCA suffered a loss of nearly Rs 73.5 lakh.
