Asked for his reaction to Shane Shillingford’s dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar in the Kolkata Test yesterday, Saqlain, who dismissed the Indian batting great in both innings of the 1999 Chennai Test, said: “I would not like to discuss the secret plan we had for Sachin, but we had discussed Sachin at length. Saqlain Mushtaq We studied the plus and minus points of the master and the boys were asked to concentrate on certain aspects,” he said from London.u00a0 “I am very happy for my boy, Shane Shillingford, who dismissed Sachin. Obviously, when a player with whom one has worked with, performs, you feel proud and Sachin’s scalp is always a prize wicket. Sachin perished – albeit controversially – to Shillingford’s doosra, but Saqlain refused to believe that the Indian master was a bit weak when it came to tackling the delivery. “Sachin has hit my doosras for fours and sixes. He’s a very good player and capable of playing all varieties of bowling,” On Shillingford, he added: “He is a quick learner and is never afraid of experimenting. He is a hardworking student of the game and has terrific fighting spirit.”u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0
