New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori said today's consolation win in the fifth and final one-dayer against India has lifted his team's morale ahead of the three-match Test series starting next week.

"It puts us in a good space. If you lose a series outright 4-0 you can get demoralised. The guys will take that confidence into the Test series. It was a lot nicer being in that dressing-room today than in the rest of the series," Vettori said after his team thumped India by eight wickets today to avoid a 4-0 whitewash in the five-match series.
