New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday levelled damning charges against the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) and said one of its officials sought sex in return for selecting cricketers.
"You will be surprised to know that a senior journalist phoned me and said that his son, who plays cricket, was selected," Kejriwal told NDTV.
"But his son's name was not there in the list. And can you believe... that the next day his wife gets an sms that said 'come to my house and your son's name will be there (in the list)," the chief minister said.
Kejriwal, who said there were more sordid tales in DDCA, has ordered a Commission of Inquiry to probe corruption in the capital's cricket body during the 13 years of chairmanship of Arun Jaitley, now union finance minister.
