So when Shraddha Kharpude, fianc&eacute;e of Dhawal Kulkarni, started seeing the India and Mumbai pacer four years ago, the fashion writer knew what she was getting into.

&ldquo;I knew that being in a cricketer&rsquo;s life would not be easy. They are most liked after Bollywood superstars. We were once at a restaurant and a few fans came to Dhawal to click pictures and autographs.
&ldquo;So, I knew this (fan following) is going to be a part of his career. But at the end of the day, I know he would call me and only me. He has always made me feel very secure,&rdquo; Shraddha, who is all set to tie the knot next month, told SUNDAY mid-day.
Shraddha spoke about an awkward situation concerning a fans: &ldquo;A fan asked me to click her photograph with Dhawal which I obliged. There are times when you have to tolerate all this.
But all this is part of his career. There are female fans, but he also has ample following among males. The more he is liked, the better for him so I don&rsquo;t mind it,&rdquo; said Shraddha, who is flattered by Kulkarni&rsquo;s humble nature.
Kulkarni and Shraddha met through a mutual friend. &ldquo;We shared our Blackberry Messenger pin. There were always casual conversations between us. He never tried to woo me. There was never a need to say, &lsquo;I love you&rsquo; and stuff. It just happened over the time. I knew he is not the one who would cheat on me,&rdquo; she said.
Shraddha will fly to Bangalore today to surprise Kulkarni, currently nursing an injury at the National Cricket Academy for a dinner date on Valentine&rsquo;s Day. &ldquo;He loves Japanese food and we&rsquo;ll have a Japanese meal in Bangalore,&rdquo; Shraddha said, bubbling with excitement.
