Injury-prone England fast bowler Jofra Archer is &ldquo;on course&rdquo; to play for England at the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/rohit-sharma-hopeful-of-jasprit-bumrah-return-before-2023-odi-world-cup-23300279" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">World Cup</a> in India later this year, his club coach said on Wednesday.&nbsp; &ldquo;He is going well,&rdquo; Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace told the BBC.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I think he is on course for the World Cup, which is fantastic news.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Archer starred when England were crowned World Cup winners on home soil in 2019. But the 28-year-old has suffered with injuries since, having several elbow operations and suffering a stress fracture of the back.&nbsp;

&ldquo;He is going nicely,&rdquo; added Farbrace of the quick who played the most recent of his 13 Tests in February 2021. He played in the limited-overs tours of South Africa and Bangladesh earlier this year, but his elbow problem flared up again in May and ruled him out of this summer&rsquo;s Ashes series.&nbsp;
