"I think everyone’s all right, as good as you can be. Everyone’s still very driven to leave Australia 3-2," said England's Jacob Bethell

Top-order batter Jacob Bethell admitted that mental and physical fatigue was starting to show on England on Day Three, as dropped catches and inconsistent bowling allowed Australia to bat through the day and reach 518-7.
“This is proper Test cricket now in terms of the graft and the stuff that you have to put in,” said Bethell, as the tourists attempt to finish a dismal series on a high. “Yeah, it was a tough day, but that’s what it’s about. We’ve got to come out tomorrow [Wednesday], take those three wickets early and get back in again.
“I think everyone’s all right, as good as you can be. Everyone’s still very driven to leave Australia 3-2. So I think that’s the main thing that’s keeping everyone fighting hard.”
When asked about the dropped chances and the toll of playing five Tests in less than two months, Bethell said: “All the guys who have played the four or five Test matches will definitely be tired mentally and physically, but that’s what comes with a five-match series. They’ll be tired, but those guys have done it before and they know how to deal with it.”
