Dhaka: England captain Jos Buttler has been given an official reprimand by the International Cricket Council following his reaction to provocation from Bangladesh fielders during the ill-tempered second ODI in Dhaka on Sunday.
Buttler reacted to what he thought were over-exuberant celebrations from several Bangladesh players and a heated confrontation ensued, with umpires forced to intervene.
Buttler, standing in as captain for Eoin Morgan for the three-match series, was warned for breaching level one of the ICC&rsquo;s code of conduct, while his opposite number Mashrafe Mortaza and batsman Sabbir Rahman were fined 20 per cent of their match fees for their part in the incident.
Match referee Javagal Srinath said: &ldquo;The Bangladesh players overstepped in their celebration of Buttler&rsquo;s wicket, which prompted an inappropriate reaction from the dismissed batsman and required the on-field umpires&rsquo; intervention.&rdquo; All three pleaded guilty to the offences and accepted the sanctions, which also include one demerit point being added to the disciplinary records of each player.
Buttler had been supreme in a run-a-ball 57 after England had stuttered to 26 for four in pursuit of 239 for victory, but his dismissal effectively ended the tourists&rsquo; hopes.

Buttler said afterwards: &ldquo;I was just a little bit disappointed in the fashion they celebrated. Mainly just the way they celebrated by running towards me and giving me a bit of a send-off.
