Dhaka: England paceman Mark Wood is out of the Test series in India. The 26-year-old is facing a third operation on his problematic left ankle in the space of a year after he fractured a bone while bowling in Durham's Specsavers County Championship game against Surrey last month.

The injury has also forced him out of the ongoing Bangladesh tour and now means he will not feature in the five Tests against India, the first of which begins next month.
