Finally, MCA confirm elections will be held on October 18

The suspense over Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) biennial elections is finally over. The managing committee that met yesterday has decided to hold the much-awaited elections on October 18.

Former president Sharad Pawar and former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar, both of whom lost to the Late Vilasrao Deshmukh last time round, are reportedly gunning for the top post. The elections have become a hot topic of discussion ever since the present body ended its two-year term in July.
