Legendary captain Kapil Dev shared his opinion on the current Team India's split coaching by saying whatever is good for cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should move forward with it.

"I don't know... I can't answer that. You have to really work something like that in your mind and say what should happen. Whatever is good for cricket, I think they should do it," said Dev.

When asked if it is difficult to be an athlete in the era of social media, the former cricketer said that it has always been the same and it depends on the mindset.

"No, it's always the same. It was difficult then, it is difficult now. It was easy then and it is easy now. Your mindset is more important," he said.

Further speaking, Dev also spoke about the growing financial benefits from the T20 leagues across the globe. He said that everybody have their own thought process.

"Everybody loves money, but some players feel that is very important. I still feel playing for India is more important than playing IPL. But everybody is individual, they have their own thought process. Good luck to them," said the 66-year-old cricketer.

Currently, the "Men in Blue" under Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy are busy engaging in the five-match T20I series against South Africa. They are leading the series by 1-0 against the Proteas.

The contest will serve as a preparatory series for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The sale of its ticket prices has begun as low as Rs 100 or LKR 1000 (in Sri Lanka) in phase 1 for some venues. The marquee event will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, which will kick off from February 7.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the sale of tickets for the 10th edition of the global showpiece on its official platform.

A total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament, which will go on for 29 days. The "Men in Blue" will lock horns against the USA in one of the three matches that are scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium on the opening day of the marquee event.
