Yesterday, during a crucial meeting to discuss the preparations for the function, it was decided to let the public inside the Kandivli ground to watch the felicitation programme.

“Public will be allowed in on a first-cum-first-serve basis. There will be a separate enclosure made for the public to view the programme,” a source told MiD DAY.

There are a host of events planned for the evening. Actress Isha Sharvani will be welcoming Tendulkar at the function that will be hosted by former India captain Ravi Shastri.

Renowned singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya will entertain the crowd with his songs. A 10-minute video will be played out where renowned cricketers of the world will offer their tribute to Tendulkar. Tendulkar cutouts will be placed all over the clubhouse which is set to named after the batting legend.

The two-Test (Nov 6, Kolkata & Nov 14, Mumbai) series against West Indies will be Tendulkar’s last international fixtures. Fans have already begun thronging the MCA office to enquire about tickets for Tendulkar’s landmark 200th Test (November 14-18) at the Wankhede Stadium.u00a0
