Ghatkopar Jolly in semi-finals

Riding on Jayesh Thakkar (94), Parag Desai (67) and Anthony Maria's (40) brilliant batting, Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana beat Friends Sports Club by 21 runs to enter the final of the of the Gordhandas Suburban Shield cricket tournament yesterday.
Batting first, the Ghatkopar side posted 282 for six off 45 overs. In reply, Friends SC could only score 261.u00a0The efforts of Kunal Dave (60), Rohan Tendulkar (82) and Mopli Setvaraj (46) ultimately went in vain as they fell short by 21 runs.
In the final, the Ghatkopar outfit will take on Sainath Sports Club, who defeated Jolly Friends by 91 runs in another semi-final.
