Portugal&rsquo;s Helder Postiga then netted his penalty, and Jamie Carragher missed. Cristiano Ronaldo sealed England&rsquo;s exit from the spot.

Wayne Rooney admitted "it was a horrible way to go out" after England suffered yet more penalty heartache in Kiev this evening.
