India's star opening batsman Rohit Sharma is currently nursing a bad injury to his calf and is putting his best foot forward when it comes to getting fit again to be back in the game.


Rohit Sharma is busting himself in the gym lifting heavy weights during strenuous workouts and he recently shared a video on social media site Instagram to show his fans what he is up to.

While Rohit received praise from his followers, his former Mumbai Indians colleague and friend Harbhajan Singh posted a funny comment trying to pull Rohit Sharma's leg saying, "Only 40 kg for this ?? Common shaana."

Rohit Sharma went on to respond to his buddy Harbhajan, saying: That's because it's my first day after injury with weights.

Harbhajan's comment left users in splits, while some commented saying 40 kg was enough for Rohit to keep sending the ball to the stands.

Rohit Sharma will be absent for the upcoming two-match Test series vs New Zealand which begins tomorrow. India lost 0-3 to the Kiwis in the ODI series.

Come March 29, Rohit Sharma will once again don the captain's hat as he leads Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 13 edition.
