The finale of the 121st edition of the inter-school U-16 Harris Shield cricket tournament gets underway at the Bombay Gymkhana today (Dec 11 to 13) with last year's semi-finalist Al-Barkaat Malik MMI English School (Kurla) taking on maiden entrant Swami Vivekanand International School (Kandivli). Himanshu Singh's 165 not out helped Al-Barkaat beat defending champions Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) via better quotient rate in the first semi-final, while SVIS off-spinner Nishant Kadam's fifer helped the Kandivli school beat Don Bosco (Matunga) in the others semi-final.

For Al-Barkaat, Himanshu, Divyanshu Singh, Dashrath Chavan and Saud Mansoori have made good contributions with the bat, while left-arm spinner Mansoori has scalped 39 wickets so far. On the other hand, SVIS will count on the batting form of skipper Rishi Shah and Nishant Kadam. "This team has worked very hard to make it to their maiden final. We will stick to our combinations," said SVIS coach Shyamji Kanojiya. "We have not lost a single game so far, the momentum is with us," said Al-Barkaat coach Nafees Khan.
