AL-Barkaat Malik Muhammad English School (Kurla) played out a draw with Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School (Fort) in a Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school Harris Shield cricket Super 8 match at Police Gymkhana, Marine Lines, on Tuesday.

Beginning the day at 55-1, after Anjuman posted 338 in their first innings the previous day, Al-Barkaat’s reply was led by Pradyankur Balerao (59* off 99 balls) and Ishan Pathak (55 off 77).

However, regular breakthroughs from Anjuman bowlers Yuvan Sharma (4-50) and Aarav Yadav (4-30) prevented Al-Barkaat from accelerating, and they were eventually dismissed for 233, conceding a first-innings lead of 105 runs. After the Fort school enforced the follow-on, Al-Barkaat relied on Arhaan Patel (36 off 52) and Ishan Pathak (29 not out off 44) to steady the innings after early setbacks. Eventually, they ended the match at 109-5. Vedant Kadu (4-42) and Varad Phadtare (1-48) did most of the damage for Anjuman in the second innings. Though the match ended in a draw, Anjuman hold the edge via their first innings lead.
