Gonzalo Higuain is hopeful he can match the performance he gave in Argentina's opening World Cup qualifier against Chile when they take on Venezuela tonight.

A hat-trick Higuain helped Argentina start their campaign to reach the 2014 finals in Brazil with a 4-1 home win, and they are now eyeing back-to-back wins in Venezuela.

Higuain told the Ole newspaper: "I hope I can keep playing this way. Playing for the national team is greatu00a0-- I've always dreamt of wearing the No 9 shirt of Argentina. This is just the beginning of the qualification. Winning the first match is good, but it's just the first step."
