Johannesburg: Former England all-rounder Ian Botham has heaped praise on Ben Stokes, describing him as 'magnificent' after he became the fastest player of his country to reach double century in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Stokes took 163 balls to reach the milestone on the second day of the second Test against South Africa, surpassing Botham¿s record of 220 balls against India in 1982.
